Borehole Drilling Initiative
The Boda Boda RideSmart Initiative by the Hillary Sigei Foundation empowers motorcycle riders to enhance their financial literacy, road safety, and overall well-being. Recognizing the vital role boda boda riders play in Kenya’s transport economy, the program equips them with essential skills to manage their income, save consistently, and operate safely on the roads.
Through structured savings groups, interactive training sessions, and community awareness campaigns, riders learn about budgeting, group investments, and the importance of responsible riding practices. The initiative also emphasizes the use of protective gear, adherence to traffic laws, and mutual accountability among riders to reduce accidents and promote public safety.
Beyond financial management, the program fosters a sense of discipline, dignity, and empowerment, helping riders transition from daily hustles to sustainable livelihoods. By strengthening both personal and community stability, the RideSmart Initiative is shaping safer roads and more prosperous communities across Kenya.
